Christmas

The Christmas season lasts for 12 days (from 25th December – 6th January) and is a time of great celebration and joy. The Church throughout the world welcomes the coming of Jesus, God’s Son, into our human family. The Church celebrates by decking the building in flowers and lit candles. The liturgical colour is white and gold and joyful carols and anthems are sung. Special services like the children's Christingle Service, Nine Lessons & Carols and Christmas Midnight Mass are offered at this time of year. As a reminder of our Lord's humility in coming among us, a Christmas Crib is set up in church – a model stable with figures of the holy family, shepherds and animals
