Junior Church

St Columba’s offers a Junior Church for all school-aged children and young people. The Junior Church meets in the church hall each Sunday during school term time and the children learn in a safe and fun environment through stories, crafts and games.

For those who would prefer to stay in church for the service with their children, we have a carpeted area with play-bags, books and soft toys.

The children begin and end the service with everyone else in church and only go to the hall for their own teaching time. The third Sunday of the month is an 'all-age' Eucharist. On these days the children stay in church for the whole service. The form of the service on these occasions is shorter and less formal and includes hymns that can be appreciated by everyone.

All baptised members of the church are very welcome to receive Holy Communion, regardless of age. Just speak to the Rector if your child would like to participate fully in this way.
