Welcome to St Columba’s SEC, Largs.
We wish to offer to all people a warm welcome to our church.
If you feel you are on the edge of things, or busy with everything; whether there is too much going on in your life, too little; or if you are not sure what life is about; we would like to welcome you to our church and fellowship.
We are a church with a wonderful mix of people. We are part of the Scottish Episcopal Church, one of the oldest churches in Scotland.
We are Christians with a broad expression of faith and belonging and we welcome all people wherever they are on their journey through faith and life. Our town is special to us and our members are involved in all kinds of activity that support the life of Largs.
We have regular worship each week:
Sunday, 8am - Holy Communion
Sunday, 11am - Sung Eucharist (Thanksgiving)
Wednesday, 10am - Holy Communion
Our main services are mostly liturgical, which means we follow a regular pattern of worship in our services. We like music here, a lot! We have a choir and hold concerts.
We work hard on being welcoming here, so if you are invited for refreshments after a service, don’t be surprised. It’s not compulsory though! We are very social and run all kinds of events and they are open to all, member or not.
We run a popular summer holiday camp for children too.
Our Pastoral Visiting Team works to look after those who cannot be with us on Sundays.
There is a lot going on in our Church and we all love helping and enjoy the fellowship of working together to fulfil Jesus’ promise of when two or three are gathered together God is in the midst of us and our prayers will be heard.
